Born in Traben-Trarbach (Germany) at November 24,1962. With 7 years my family removed to Gran Canaria, Spain.

I started snorkeling and spearfishing at the age of 11 years with several experiments trying uw-photography with selfmade housings  for my EXA 1B - the second housing one did work and I got some "good" shots.
June 1996: First dive and beginning of uw-photography with an used Nikonos III with 35 mm lens.
July 1996: I bought the flashgun Nikonos SB 105 and my own diving equipment and cintinue phtographing...
February 1997: Participant of the local competition for uw-photography, qualified for the regional competion
Juni 1997: Participant of the regional competition for uw-photography (Lanzarote), qualified for the national competion - with position 3 of 18.
September 1997: Participant of the national competition for uw-photography (Ceuta), position 13 of 25.
1998: position 3 local competition and position 4 regional competition for uw-photography
1999: position 1 . local competition and position 2 regional competition (La Gomera) und position 10 national competition (Murcia) and position 2 of International Open Fotosub Isla de El Hierro.
2000: position 1 . local competition and position 2 regional competition for uw-photography (Tenerife)
